A modern Australian Winery Restaurant in Moorooduc near Mornington offering a seasonal à la carte menu for lunch and dinner utilising local produce and paired with Stumpy Gully Vineyard’s superb wines. Open on Friday | Saturday | Sunday for lunch and Saturday for dinner. Available for Private Dining for two or more guests. We also have a Summer Deck as an extension of our Cellar Door to enjoy our wine and a Deck Menu through the Summer months.
Owner and Head Chef Shane Burke pours his twenty five years of experience and passion for food into creating a menu offering every season, using only the best possible ingredients. Shane is joined by his wife Julia and a wonderful team of kitchen and front of house staff, who are all passionate about providing guests with an excellent dining experience.

Sustainability and the support of our local suppliers and community is paramount to the ethos at Stumpy Gully Dining. Shane will prepare a seasonal menu taking in the best produce on offer and utilising suppliers who have the same passion for the environment as we do. We are truly blessed on the Mornington Peninsula to have a micro-climate that provides us with such a rich, diverse and abundant level of produce.

Stumpy Gully Dining Under Covid Restrictions
Stumpy Gully Vineyard | Dining & Events is committed to the health and comfort of our guests and our wonderful employee family. We are very happy to play our role in helping Victoria and Australia through this global pandemic and to the recovery on the other side. To those means we have enacted a thorough and extensive ‘Covid Safe’ plan and we will be following the restrictions provided to us by the Victorian State Government.
We are also excited to announce that we will be opening up two picnic tables on our Summer Deck for couples or parties of up to 6 to enjoy the Dining Restaurant Menu al fresco. The tables are under umbrellas and whilst we have cafe blinds to help with the wind, these tables are ultimately exposed to Melbourne’s weather. Booking is essential and we politely ask our guests to acknowledge that should the weather make al fresco dining uncomfortable, and our restaurant is fully booked, we will be unable to move your reservation inside.
Bookings can be made online | first sitting 11:30AM until 1:30PM | Second sitting 1:45PM to 3:45PM. Outside tables are limited to two hours.
Stumpy Gully Dining & Events is uniquely positioned to be able to provide our venue for smaller more intimate groups. Our Private Dining experience can be booked for parties of four or more whilst our $80 function menus are available to groups of just 20.

We welcome group bookings. All reservations of 10 or more guests are placed on our special group offering: A two course meal chosen a la carte from a slightly reduced Dining Menu with complimentary sides, bread and house-made butter for the table. This offering is priced at only $65 per guest (minimum spend).
In order for us to maintain our high levels of service and for the comfort of all of our guests, we are unable to cater for groups of over 14 in our Dining or Barrel Room. However our gorgeous Barrel Room can be booked exclusively for larger parties (see Functions page for details).

Allergies & Dietaries
We pride ourselves on our ability to provide our guests with a three course meal. But in order to do this we politely request that you notify us at the time of booking of any allergies or dietary requirements in order for our dedicated but small kitchen team to accomodate your personal and unique meal requirements.
Dining Seasonal Menu
Our Menus are seasonal and inspired by the best produce available to our kitchen. Whilst we are a small team we set ourselves big goals and push to achieve an accomplished offering four times a year. Our Head Chef and Owner Shane Burke draws on years of experience at some of Melboune’s best restaurants aswell as his years working in the Mediterranean on various Superyachts. His food draws on the natural beauty of the ingredients; their flavours, textures and aromas. Producing dishes for the senses; visually pleasing, a full taste sensation and a couple of surprises. We hope for our menus to leave you feeling the passion, hard work and warmth that goes into every dish.
Our A La Carte Dining Menu currently consist of four Entrées, Mains and Desserts with Cheese plates and a special $65 Entrée and Main offering for our guests.
Summer Deck | Grazing Menu
Our Summer Deck is a beautiful extension of our Cellar Door and Dining offering. When weather permits, and at our discretion, we open our Summer Deck for our guests to partake in the best wines Stumpy Gully has to offer married with a grazing menu for you to enjoy whilst soaking up the fabulous vista of the vines.
If you simply want to partake in a glass of wine and something from our Grazing Menu then we do not require our guests to make a reservation.
The picnic tables that we serve the Restaurant Menu on are open to reservations or we can accomodate walk ins if no prior reservations exist.
Our drinks list represents the best wines of Stumpy Gully Vineyard alongside a variety of locally produced beers, ciders and spirits. Stumpy Gully’s wide range of wines reflects the diversity of the vineyard locations and the planted grape varieties & come under four distinctly different labels.

The Dining Room
With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the vines our Dining Room is the epitome of a Vineyard restaurant. Designed by Creative Eclectic of Melbourne this beautiful space provides you with the opportunity to dine in comfort with a view both across the vines and into the heart of Stumpy Gully Dining with our unique full double door open kitchen.
Gorgeous banquet seating, bespoke recycled timber tables with exquisite crockery and glass wear with linen table napkins our Dining Room reflects the beliefs of Stumpy Gully Dining: elegance, warmth, comfort and a touch of luxury all set within this fabulous Vineyard environment.
The Barrel Room
Enter our charming Barrel Room through antique provincial double doors to be greeted with soaring ceilings and stunning oak barrels full of Stumpy Gully Vineyards finest wines lining the walls. Another space beautifully designed with care and consideration of the heart and history of the building by Eclectic Creative of Melbourne.
A truly unique space with both vintage and industrial elements which exudes warmth and rustic charm with reclaimed timber tables, cowhide rugs and candles; wonderful for large groups or a romantic lunch for two.
The Summer Deck
Our Summer Deck is a beautiful extension to our Cellar Door and provides a delightful complement to our Dining Rooms. Open when the weather allows for you to enjoy a glass of wine outside accompanied by a delicious Grazing Menu from our Dining team.
No booking is required for you to come and enjoy a drink and the grazing menu.
Deck service is provided at our discretion and is dependent on the weather throughout the year but we aim to have the area open November through to April.

The Cellar Door
Why not make your visit to Stumpy Gully Vineyard a real experience and visit our Cellar Door for a wine tasting.
We politely request that you allow thirty minutes prior to your Dining reservation time to enjoy this experience. Tables can only be held for 15 minutes after your booked table time. Or why not partake after your meal and take home some bottles of our award winning wine to truly extend your enjoyment of Stumpy Gully.
Stumpy Gully Dining is excited to announce that we are now open for Private Dining.
For parties of four and groups of up to 20 guests Stumpy Gully is opening its gorgeous Dining Room for you to enjoy a private three course meal with complimentary sides, bread and house-made butter for only $110 per person plus drinks. No venue fee. Just a beautiful restaurant all to yourselves with service from our Head Chef Shane Burke; think of it as a Private Chef’s Table.
Available Monday. Wednesday for lunch and Thursday. Friday for dinner.
